About Our Community

Fellowship is part of the Evangelical Covenant Church tribe within the larger Body of Christ. Our community began forming in 1987 out of a bible study and later officially started meeting as a church in October 1988 in Bursley school. The Church moved into its present location on Easter 1992 where it has been serving the Hudsonville-Jenson-Grandville and larger West Michigan community ever since.

In short, we exist to cultivate followers of Jesus who live lives of transformation.

Primarily, the church exists to cultivate people who fully devote themselves to Jesus Christ. Through that devotion, we desire that people live lives that are both transformed and transforming; after people devote themselves to Jesus and His Way of Life, we hope that those individual lives are changed and that those individuals affect change around them.

All of this is accomplished in West Michigan. We recognize that our immediate location of people development and transformation is the Hudsonville-Jenison-Granville area, but the surrounding Grand Rapids area is included, too. Our hope is that, through Fellowship Covenant Church, people will encounter Jesus, devote themselves to Him, be transformed by His power and transform the world around them.

In order to help cultivate life transformation and transformational living in the lives of followers of Jesus we hope to create sacred, safe space to encounter God in worship, explore the teachings of the Holy Scriptures during Sunday morning teaching and other settings, journey through life together in community, and move outside of the walls of the church to serve the surrounding West Michigan community.

Lately, we’ve been dreaming of how an alternative Christianity might look in 21st century Western Michigan and what might happen through radical devotion to the teachings, way and person of Jesus Christ. We know there are many church options in our area, but if you are interested in authentic community, a radical following and loving the world around us in the way of Jesus we’d love for you to join us in our journey.
